RESPOND of Arkansas 2009 Hamfest Information Link
RESPOND of Arkansas Amateur Radio Club is a non-profit organization of Amateur Radio operators interested in community and emergency service. RESPOND, founded in 1989, provides emergency communications to local and state government and disaster response agencies upon request during natural or man-made communication emergencies. RESPOND also serves as the local Eyes of the National Weather Service through its Skywarn program of trained volunteers and radio operators. The club provides a staffed communications van for use by Craighead County when needed and works closely with the local chapter of the American Red Cross. RESPOND is an ARRL Affiliated Special Service Club. RESPOND meets each third Monday at 7 PM, at the Craighead County Office of Emergency Management, 511 Union Avenue, Room 005, Jonesboro.
HAM RADIO CLASSES FORMING: The RESPOND club is getting ready to host another amateur radio exam course. If you are interested in getting your FCC Amateur Radio Operators License or know someone who is please sign up now by filling out the following form. Ham Class Form
CLUB LAPEL PINS ARE IN: The RESPOND club has obtained some really sharp looking logo lapel pins (shown at left and above). The pin is approximately 1" in size and has a single "military-style" butterfly catch on the back. The cost is $3 per pin and available from Terri, N5MYU. GET YOURS TODAY!
